Grading
Your grade for this class will be a linear combination of class participation, four programming assignments, a mid-term exam, and a final exam. The coefficients are as follows:

News
- There will a lab on the third programming assignment (which is available from the assignments page) on Thursday, Nov. 8 from 15:30–17:00 in Volen 118.
- Alex and Catherine will be available for questions about the first and second programming assignments on Thursday, Oct. 25 from 13:00–15:00 in Volen 110.
- There will be another lecture on the second programming assignment (which is now up on the assignments page) on Thursday, Oct. 18 from 15:30–17:00 in the room next to the berry patch (Volen 118). Attendance is highly recommended.
- There will be a lab on the second programming assignment on Thursday, Oct. 11 from 15:30–17:00 in Volen 101. Attendance is highly recommended.
- Alex will be available for questions on the first programming assignment on Wednesday, Sep. 26 (Brandeis Thursday) from 15:30–17:00 in Volen 110.
- There will be a lab on the first programming assignment (implementing the Allen temporal interval logic) on Thursday, Sep. 20 from 15:30–17:00 in Volen 101.
- The Allen temporal intervals paper is up on the readings page. You are encouraged to read sections 1–4 for Tuesday, Sep. 11.
- A Python tutorial will be held on Thursday, Sep. 6 from 15:30–17:00 in Volen 101. Attendance is not manditory, but is recommended if you are not familiar with Python.
